JOY HELPS will help you uncover your unique strengths and talents, so you can achieve your goals and live your best life.
Any college student, who is 18 years-old or older, attending a two-year or four-year U.S. college or university is eligible. Students must be registered (current) college students at the time of the competition (May 7th, 2024)
1) Apply - Submit a 60-90 second video pitch and submit to JOY for review.
2) Notification - Applicants are notified if they reached the final competition or not.
3) Compete - The final competition is a virtual (online) competition where 8 individuals (or teams of up to 3 college students) deliver live 8 minute pitches on their mental health product or service ideas.
Prizes include include:
1st Place - $2,000
2nd Place - $1,000
3rd Place - $500
4th-8th Place - $50 Visa Gift cards
The competition is free and open to all current students at two year and four year colleges and universities.
1. Create your video in a quiet setting with nothing distracting in the background. Have adequate lighting, and utilize a ring light if possible. We recommend using a desktop, laptop, or smartphone to create your video.

1. Finalize your video and make edits as appropriate. Ensure your video is between 60 - 90 seconds long.
2. Upload to a YouTube channel. If you don't have one they can easily be created in a few minutes. Note that the video must be publicly viewable.
